Hi Toni! So nice to hear from you after all this time! It seems like another life time ago when we started visiting and commenting on images at this site. I am doing fine and hope you are too. I started my own Wildlife and Nature Website a few years ago because it seems that was where most of my photo interests were. I like to think that there is a certain amount of Photoart in some of the images I post on my sight. The closest I come to fairies is images of dragonflies and hummingbirds. Who knows... when we talk again in 2022 I might have a few fairy images to show you:) TTYL Andre andredenisimages.weebly.com

Nice shot Gene, but it is a Hooded Merganser. Probably even rarer than Buffleheads. Andre

Very funny Kes :) Not as rare as you might think if you do a google search for fighting wild turkeys. I was watching this two for a while and they were getting down right vicious. They don't fight to the death though.

Nice image of a man that tells a story documentary style. Would probably look good in B&W too.

Thanks Harry, I liked the snow falling too. I thought it kind of added another dimension to the image. This was taken just before the snow got too heavy. Thanks again. Andre

I'm not 100 percent sure Harry, but I believe you still have the option of using a crop factor on the D610 as well as full frame with FX lenses. On my D750 I can use the crop factor on any lens. But, if you use a DX lens it only works with crop factor. I hope that makes sense.

Hi Harry, Yes, a very good percentage of my images is wildlife photography. I love my D200 and still use it quite often. But the high ISO capabilities of the newer bodies make them the perfect cameras for low light wildlife shooting. There are so many situations where you need a high shutter speed in low light to reduce hand held blur. This makes the D750 a good choice for deep woods images or early morning/late afternoon images.

Thanks Harry, When I first came across them in the woods there was another hiker watching them. She was wondering if we should try and separate them. I told her that she should leave them alone because it looked like some kind of mating ritual that they were going through. I got a lot of great pictures of the scrap. Later, I read about it on the net. It seems it is a similar thing to what Deer , Mountain Goats and Caribou do during mating season, They don't fight to the death, but the winner gets the ladies :)

Thanks Barbara for the nice comment about this series of images. I had the idea for this when I was trying to decide what to do for a "triptych" contest for an outdoor photography magazine.
Yes, these beautiful birds are always a joy to photograph. There are two ways it can go while shooting them. They either except you being near, or they disappear under water. Andre

Nice! I tried this method a couple of times and got some mixed results. Did you move the zoom lens at the same time as pressing the shutter?
