Just where I would like to be on a cold frosty day...on the inside of a window! Great shot and great choice of frame.

Kyle, ya the postures or something made the two bodies kinda join together at the bottom of the photo, but I went for the flowing veil, as I thought it made the 'just married' effect.

Kyle, yes it is threshold, selected section by section with the magic wand in PS. I worked on it section by section because I figure when I did this with film, I had to work on the print section by section in the dark room. I have an old truck I shot with film with this effect that I framed and hung on the wall, I tried to go back and shoot digitally and adjust with threshold - it didn't work. However, I am not sure the daylight and exposures were the same which could make the differance. Thanks for your comments.

Kyle, as for the dog, trained, God no. He shivers when he sees my camera, but he loves the fireplace. I was looking for the story book cat/dog laying in front of the fire look. I wanted the mood of the picture to be a bit on the dark side as he often lays there in the dark as content as could be. But, our visions sometimes have to be assisted with a little added light due to situations such as Bo's dark coat. The expression, my daughter had just knocked at the door and he didn't budge. The frame is from a program called Digital Image Pro 9 by Microsoft. It is pretty cool.

Kyle, I don't remember what the shutter speed was due to the short time the flames were there. The exposures moved so quickly. It was hand held & available light. Normally, I would say below 15, use a tripod or forget it, but I took this photo journalism class that required no flash on any photos. Good lessons! Thanks for your visit.

Very lonely feeling to this shot. Reminds me of a sketch in a good mystery.

Good job on the Threshold work. I think a lot of people are not big fans of some of the PS processing in UF, but in reality we can do this with film as well. InfraRed film will give you the same effect you got in the Cruiser and Lithographic film will give the effect you have here in the Railroad. See my 'Story Time Chair' in my portfolio. I am going to take a look at the Silver Black Gradient Map now. Keep up the nice work and if this style feels good to you...keep on doing what you do.

Best Regards.

Very nice, personally, I am not a big fan of the PT Cruiser, but you have brought out the best! Nice refecltions of the trees you have picked up in the paint and windows. Nice PS work - looks like IR film, which I love.

Excellent! I love all the angles you have captured here. Isn't it funny how an abandoned house can be a photographers dream.

Very nice Kamran, I prefer this photo in color because I love the fact that his cheeks match his hat. He is adorable. Well done.

Hi Mandy, I like this format overall. The layout is pleasant and consistant. My eye seems to scan each of Kira's photos easily. I like the way Josephs pictures work together, but the layout is difficult to focus on. It seems I have the hardest time focusing on Josephs eyes in the transperancy becasue the two pictures on the bottom bring my focus down toward them.

BTW - I worked on the Wood Stove in my portfolio, but pulled the original off the site by accident. (Thought I had previously changed a pic w/out affecting the comments) The rework of it is posted and the origianl is in the comment section, but lost your original comment. You thought it was too dark overall, and after reviewing it...it was. Please take a look.

Jon, what a precious baby you have. Although you may have had some struggles with the photo, you have done an excellent job at recovering the shot. I think Melissa also did some great work. Congrats on all!

This is displayed very nicely. All it needs now is a decorative frame, matte, and a wall hanger

Traci, very intriguing effect in this series. Everything is great, however I really like how the composition works in this shot. The make up looks great also.

Very interesting shot. I like the headpiece and jewelry, but am not sure the choice of background color works in this photo. The other use of colors are beautiful.

Very nice portrait of this little girl. The colorful background is wonderful. I like the light reflection in her face, except the tint is green around her mouth. I see that you uploaded an additonal pic without the effect. Overall, I like this shot.

Where I live, we have a man made lake with Karp and Catfish. We don't see too many fisherman. Can you explain more about this fishing technique. Beautiful glow in the sky, is it the sunrise? Nice silhoutte. Well done.

As creepy as these little guys appear, the colors go well together to make a photo. You will have to be a little more brave next time you come across the food vendors and let us know how tasty critters are. Are they bees and scorpions?

Very interesting...I can't figure out how you did this. My daughter stands on one hand, but is this off of a park bench? Very well done.
