Jacek, I really like the subject here it's very tranquil. The shot has a decided lean to the left however that takes away from the overall quality of the shot. Try correcting the perspective next time unless that entire wall and tree on the left are tilted naturally. Either way our eyes want to "see" it perpendicular. Good job.

With John Mayall he was great. Not long enough for me , I could have listened to a couple hours more. Mick looks like he's put on some weight but John Mayall at 70 is in unbelievable shape. The 70th Birthday celebration in Liverpool, with a concert in aid of UNICEF featured Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor and Chris Barber. This concert was filmed, recorded and released as a DVD and double CD. Check it out!

Hey, my backyard! Nice job. I was in there a while back in the old bar and it's just amazing inside. Tried out some "vintage" bourbon that had been private labelled for them from the 70's. Great stuff! A Chicago landmark for sure.

A sunset is so fleeting, we capture only a moment on film. Like life, the moment is enjoyed then quickly it's gone. We have the photo for the "memory". Thank you for sharing this moment from your world.

Great idea Jurgen. I prefer this one to the other. Yes, it would have been cool to get the blue sky but that's what's great about it, you can try it again after getting the feedback here. FYI I've never seen this before. Good stuff!

Hey Brandy,
Shooting fireworks are a lot of fun and there's some easy steps to get great results. Set your camera to Landscape mode ? typically designated by an icon that looks like a small mountain range. It's the same as setting the lens on a film camera to Infinity. With the camera in Landscape mode you won't have to concern yourself with focusing issues. Or use Manual mode, focus on infinity and set your aperature on f:11 or 16. Use the highest quality-setting to avoid jpeg noise. Definitely use a tripod. You'll need to have the lens open from 2-4 seconds so it's a must. A cable release will help avoid shake even more. Set your camera on ISO 200 and your lens to f:11 or f:16. When you hear the shell fire , pause 1 second and open the shutter with the cable release for 2-4 seconds. Close the shutter and look at the shot in the lcd. if it's too dark use a longer exposure, too bright then a shorter exposure. If you have a B (Bulb) shutter speed setting you can use it to control exactly how long your shutter is open. The trick is to open the shutter right at the beginning of the burst and close it when it reaches its peak. Anticipating the explosion can be difficult, but not impossible. If you don't have a B setting you can choose a fixed setting, such as 1 second. That's it! I attached a shot I got over 4th of July. Cheers,

He should be, Back in 1969, when Rolling Stones founder Brian Jones was booted from his band, he was replaced by 21-year-old Mick Taylor. Taylor played on such famous Stones songs as "Tumbling Dice," "It's Only Rock 'N' Roll," "Angie," "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," "Brown Sugar," "Wild Horses," "Heartbreaker" and more. He left in December 1974 to be replaced by his friend, Ronnie Wood. He still plays great!

Great shot , very cool.My favorite band and probably my favorite RH song of all time. I used to listen to it 2 or 3 x in row. I never thought it could be done live till I heard them perform it in Camden, N.J on the last tour. Awesome. Thanks for the comment on my stage shot, your portfolio is great.

thanks Mustafa for the reply, which it sounds like you are quoting a song in German or a poem. Do you know the English translation?
My attempt at it is: Unique as the Sun are you, come! You surround us with a blank canvas, a golden garden, come! Dusty is the world without you, Cold is our fire without you, come!
How did I do? -mm
