Cool image. I like the word-play. A "murder" of crows.

A stunning image Jonathan. So strong and haunting and to capture with a rose. A whole film or play awaits!

Good idea and I like the grain and black backdrop too. I think composition could be improved by moving to the right and placing the arrangement further to the left.

remember, remember the fifth of November quote from V for Vendetta, reminded me a bit of that also.

The black and white give the feel you wanted, but this feels modern, in a really cool way.

Hi Jonathan, The B&W conversion sure is very successful here, not only in the tones, but also in the added mood and atmosphere. Definitely the feel of a classic horror movie, but with the "faceless" walls on either side this image also has a rather modern feel. You'd expect the walls to be the type of old English / Londoner scene, but the blank walls only make this photo stronger. It adds the element of surprise, which makes this photo tick. Very well captured.

Cheers,

Hugo

Brilliant idea Jonathan- very powerful and almost timeless in b&w. Like the colour one too- so strong and striking.

Brilliant to have discovered your pictures Jonathan- great ideas. This is very intriguing and atmosheric- those shadows are amazing especially in b&w.

Nicely composed with good contrast. I like the foggy background in this shot. Only suggestion I'd make is having the lable be a bit more readable.
