Jeanette,
Kind of looks like fairgrounds, but actually a shot taken at a junkyard, where they warehouse old signage. Its a very neat place. Had to "make a contribution" in order to get them to unlock the gates.

A wonderful capture of the successive layers of mountains. As you say, it looks somewhat dimensionless, with only the different colours giving an indication of relative distance.
