Very interesting. I was half expecting Angor Wat to be the location. Is this an aboriginal piece?
Nice capture.

Christine,
Wonderful. Cool concept. You've done a super job conveying the mood and so much more through the attire and body language of your subjects.
It's a shame the highlights are so intense that they lose their detail - the white sweater for example. With the selective application of a little brightness control and contrast, this would be perfect.
Really nice work.

Nice abstract. Love the blues.
I'd have wished for the "eye" to be a little off center (perhaps a bit lower in the frame).

The stone work by the Incas is just incredible. No masonry in between, and such a tight fit.
Nice image withthe window lined up within the window.

Nice image. The long exposure drew the blue out of the dark sky quite effectively.

Very well positioned shot. You've got the roof line running parallel to the top of the image - which is visually pleasing. But, the roadway is on an angle, drawing the eye along, and adding more visual interest (than a flat head on shot).
Nice!
Best regards,
Mark

Great work Todd. The twisted lines of the vines in combination with the straight lines from the pipes and fencing are great in counter-balancing one another. The duo-tone effect of the blue and white sets it off so wonderfully! (Although the blue may be bordering on the side of being just a little too intense / saturated for my tastes.)

Nice subtle gradiants to the surfaces, etc.

Jeanette,
Kind of looks like fairgrounds, but actually a shot taken at a junkyard, where they warehouse old signage. Its a very neat place. Had to "make a contribution" in order to get them to unlock the gates.
Thanks for looking, and for your comments.
Best regards,
Mark

I like the simple, colorful (blacks, reds and whites in combination are so eye popping) abstract. The thumbnail really captured my attention. I understand that he shadow is by its nature blurry, but it bothers my eyes that there doesn't appear to be a really crisp edge in the image. Could the outline of the red chair be sharpened, for example? For me, that would elevate this image to an even higher level of excellence.

Its kind of like a small, simple, featureless animal ... crawling along and leaving only its shadow behind! :-)

Mohamed,
I like images through and into windows. Particularly ones of shop windows, they capture the social fabric, style, and attitude of the culture at a point in time.
this is a nice, fun, image, that succeeeds in giving all of those same insighta.

Thanks for your improved version of the image.
The more intense white in the lettering, and other contrast / saturation changes truly enhance the shot. Thanks.

The added contrast (PS) really make sthe image pop ... with the bright rail lines and the dark pavement.
Nice.

Nice lighting, and feel to the weathered wood and paint. I wish the bow of the boat weren't so centered in the image.

Anandaroop,
You have a nice variety to the images you have posted on UF. I find this one particularly appealing, for, as you say, it wonderfully captures the modern day lives of people (who, coincidentaly are fortunate enough to live amongst historical treasures).

Its wonderful fun to pull the range of colors which are ever so faintly present in the "ordinary" things that surround use daily. Beautiful lwork.

The creamy layers of paint which had been laid down one on top of the other can be felt by viewing your image. Nice use of the angular lighting and love the cool, soothing, blues.

Kevin,
There's so much good stuff in this image ...
the textures, the lighting, the composition, the range and tones to the colors.
But best of all, I like the little muddy pool in the foreground.
Wonderful, congratulations!

Strong patterns.
Evokes a cold, modern, metro-concrete feeling.
The use of the layers adds additional visual interest.

Nice choice of Black & White (which you so rarely use ... so, great call, actually).
Beautiful angle ... nice depth of field - love the detail in the bricks ... A Superb Shot!
A well deserved 7.

Your image captures the decisive moment ... the moment of no return. Your subject has committed himself to the dive, but as yet, has not really begun the descent. I am particularly fond of the composition, with the other figure looking on. And, withthe manner in which the diver's body leaps out of the lower right hand corner of the frame. Very nicely done!

Todd,
Well seen and composed street scene. Great interplay of lines under the walkway, with the cubes in the building.
