Yes, I had the autofocus on because the light was not GREAT, but I hate to use the flash... the kids were being wild and not wanting to stay still... but I do need to work more on fully manual.
Funny you should mention it because I JUST ordered that lens per a friend's suggestion! It should be arriving anytime!

Wow, this has an eerie almost dark, evil feel to it! I think you should definitely add this to the dramatic portrait project.

Great silhouette! Classic colors and interesting subject! Makes me want to know more... where is he? Why does he appear to be alone playing his saxophone? Almost like he is paying honor to someone or something.

I like this, Paul. It's sweet, yet sensual. I tink the lighting works with the mood.
My only complaint is the bra! LOL It distracts my attention... she either needs a better bra that doesn't show through so much or she needs to just loose the bra!

This is a great portrait. I really love natural light. The textures and tone here are very nice!
Some of your work is very experimental and that is great, but I also love these more simplistic portraits that you have done!

Monica, this is actually my son. He is so pretty that he gets mistaken for a girl a lot! LOL
The max size on usefilm is 800 pixels, since this is a square it is 800 pixels in width and height!

Gorgeous! This shot is virtually flawless, from you skin to your lips to that little flash of light so perfectly centered in your eye bringing out that little burst of color and the little hints of lights leading the eye directly to the focal point of the shot.
Just beautiful! :)

Jen, is this the one you were demonstrating with the glass? The texture is amazing... like mercury or liquid metal! You should put this in the glass project!

Great deatail. I like how it goes from dark to light.... going from black to dark brown to orange to bright orange until it is a vibrant yellow. Very cool effect!

This is very cute. The B&W tones are great too! I'm not a huge fan of watermarks or whatever you call them! LOL I am easily distracted and it distracts me from the image at hand. I understand why it's there though 
P.S. thanks for your comments here and on flickr. I have been quite busy and haven't had much time for browsing and commenting, but am trying to get back into that mode!
