Alberto, I used a red filter to enhance the dep blue of the sky, we have amazing cloud trails and formations in the sky in the area where I live. Thanks Simon

possibly minimalist you could say, I just see things that are pleasing to my eye, I call them visual triggers. The straight line of the wires contrasted by the jagged twig is what caught my attention. There's always patterns, forms and structures around us, thats what I like about photography, you appreciate little things.

Alberto, I used a red filter to eccentrate the white clouds against the sky. Theses high altitude cirrus clouds change shape and form the most wonderful patterns first thing in the morning, thanks for the comments

thanks Peter, it looks even better hand printed on fibre paper, the blacks are real deep and the areas of light are really striking.

great composition and capture of that wonderful light that is reflecting off the trees. There is good form and structure as well as the contrast of the upright trees and there horizontal shadows. Well Done ! Gustavo.

I am drawn by these fascinating symbols and the dark brooding sky that is looming behind them. The thorny bushes and long grass which looks quite windswept also adds that dark melanchonic feel to the image. The signs remind me of some kind of ancient / tribal symbol that is held up before going into battle. Well done !

Blaine, I was intrigued by the shadow cast by the sign. The town itself had alot of interesting old shops. Also the autumn light was beautiful at the time, made the buildings really glow. Nice part of the world your from, Nova Scotia !

Memo, thanks for the comment, I was trying to throw the TV that is in the background out of focus but still leave something, perhaps recognisable. I was intrigued by the small curl in my wifes' hair when I took the photo.

I loved the outline of the cows heads and the way they were standing in relation to each other. They are Black Angus cattle and were so black compared to that of the bright sky. The image was printed with high contrast so as to excentrate the black of the cows. I felt thats how I wanted the image to be. But its good to hear your comments.

patrick, love seeing this street corner again, those lovely dark shadows and the swathe of light that illuminates tha back of the cyclist and creates the long shadow of him. We'll all have to wave if we walk past this corner in the future. Also that tiny bit of light that is reflecting off the street lamp and its structure is beautiful.

Apparently this ferris wheel which used to be situated at Palce de la Concorde in Paris has gone now. The print made in the darkroom of this image was a little challanging in that I had to 'hold back' a little on each passenger car. thanks again for the feedback

Patrick, this was taken handheld, I love that sodium lighting that illumuinated the area around this 'art cafe'. Because of the short exposure there is a trace of a cyclist riding through. From comments at an exhibtion I had this year, people either like it or they don't. I love dark areas that have minimal light that illuminates its surrounding area.

Don
there is a larger version that I have hand printed in my darkroom, this was just scanned in and manipulated on the PC, perhaps a little too much contrast than the original image. This guy has the best smile I've ever seen, he's a street performer that does the festival circuit in Melbourne.

Well done Patrick ! I love that crisp white light that outlines the back of the couple. You can just feel the warmth of the afternoon light as it creates the long shadows. For some reason this images reminds me of Edward Hoppers painting titled Nighthawks, I think it's the building on the corner that does it.

Gabriela, this was shot handheld, I loved the the way the metro lighting illuminates the train platform, in the origional black & white print there is alot more detail to see, including the watch on the walking mans wrist that has a glint of light as well.
