I just read your comment about soaking the mouse to grow cress on it - and it had me - or should I say, still has me in stitches!

I had never heard of narrowboat till about 3 weeks ago when I caught a program off the dish all about these boats. It covered what they do and how they travel, some even live on them. found a site where they were for sale. and they all run up and down the canal. that is way too kewl ! I bet I could get used to that life !

I've never known why, but yes they are grape hyacinths. Good macro anyway, and nice depth of field.
