Yes Paul, it's definetely not an Australia:)
These buildings are populated by poor peoples. I was surprized that the center of the city in such situation. But this is choice/decision of local peoples, I guess.
Centres of many old european cities (Regensburg, Genova, Florence) used for students, immigrants, etc. But in most cases they looks much more better.

Nanda, your's variant is very good, thank you.
Development of digital RAW depends on the author's intention. This is not the first variant, I shown it in our russian fotoclub. Now I'd like to develop in a different way. More gentle, showing fine transitions of colors.
Another reason is psychological. For me such scenes accosiates with calm beauty. So high contrast variant is too "hard-boiled".
And, at last, high contrast "kill" very beautiful picture from this high quality lens.
IMHO:)
