Hello Noemi, thanks for your comment. The backdrop color was actually the side of a little red barn in my backyard.
Thanks again, Rainy Iannucci

Thanks Tim, actually I almost slipped a couple of times. The last thing I would have needed was to see my D80 floating down the river.

Nice picture Tim. The Fall colors realy stand out. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like you used a shutter speed of around one to two seconds and anaperture setting of around F22 or higher. The only thing I would do different is maybe take the picture more from the front view so the tree limbs don’t block the view of the stream.
Take care, Rainy Iannucci

Hello Shirley, How have you been? I'm glad you liked the picture. I spent some time at the falls changing the aperture and shutter settings in my camera to see what kind of affect it would have on the water. It was a fun day.

Hi Maryanne, Thanks for your comment on my Over the Falls picture. This is a wonderful picture. I love the detail of the brick face on the bridge. This would make a fantastic picture in the fall when all the leaves are changing colors. Many thanks for the short history lesson I think it's great. Sad to think that at one time this very peaceful looking land was a battleground were many brave young men died. Sometimes when you look at a picture the most important thing is not the picture itself but the story behind it. Regards, Rainy

Maryanne, thanks again for the kind words. The historic Red Mill is known across the country as a photogenic symbol of early America's rural industry. The familiar red building can be found everywhere, including official New Jersey tourism posters, roadmaps and postcards. It is the most photographed spot in New Jersey and one of the top ten most photographed buildings in the U.S.
