Very cool. Looks like a lot of work but well worth the result. Would be keen to know how you achieve this effect.

This is the actual photo as taken. It happens to be one of my favorites of the poppies I took that day (or any day). I realize that I could clone out the partial blurred-out poppy on the right and the hint of a leaf on the left but wanted to load the photo un-altered. I hope you like it as much as I do. I have it printed out 11x14 and framed in the house. The color combination of the flower set into that amazing color of blue sky just works. I love it after a rain when the gray smog gets pushed down for a day or so. Enjoy the clearness while you can. Thanks for looking. Steve

Great capture Stephen . . . the B&W was a great choice for this and the subject is nicely presented. I especially like the rolling waves. The lighting is done quite well too.

I was going to straighten out the horizon but it's actually on a hill so I wanted to keep true to the actual view. For vertical placement I wanted the expanse on the sky so I didn't want to split it 50/50. Were you thinking more along the lines of the rotational aspect of the horizon of the vertical? I'd like to be able to improve on this. I have a shot in tradition landscape format I'll finalize later and I wouldn't mind returning becuase I'd like to get more depth. I shot it at F/18. I'll try F22. It's not the best lens but it's my widest and I want a sharp close foreground object with the bluebell. Thanks for the comments.

Absolutley gorgeous. The use of lighting is fantastic, it helps portray a soft elegant and subtle overall tone to the colour. Looks so delicate and very crisp.
