Fantastic!

I love the symmetry and the use of lines. The colours are warm and strong with plenty of interest. The pier leads the eye right into the middle of the shot.

As I said before, fantastic!

Wow such vibrant colours! Has the image been enhanced or did you use filters to bring out the colours? My attempts at beach photography often end up glared out by the harsh light.

Well done!

Thanx Steve, I will try and make a point of uploading a new image each day, I'm enjoying having a play around with my images and hopefully some of them may be not too bad, let's hope.

I'm off to have a look through some of your stuff now.

Thanks again,

Pete

Thanx a lot for the advice Christine, I followed your instructions in CS and the results can be seen in my portfolio entitled "Springtime Stream" it was also my very first attempt at image manipulation as there was a lot of unwanted clutter I had to take out of the shot. Quite a turning point for me in all. No stopping me now...

Thanx again,

Pete

I look forward to seeing it when you do, the castle looks fascinating.

Good luck,

I'm not sure whether I like this picture or not Mohamed, I'm sure you would like me to be honest so here goes....

I think the fountain in the foreground looks a little odd and unbalances the shot somewhat. As does the vine or whatever it is on the right, the trees in the back ground are eing overexposed by the harsh light there, but that said I love the building it's quite fascinating a real architechtural gem! It contrasts nicely against the water and the nearer foilage. Maybe it could have been taken from a more flattering angle as it all looks a little awkward. I would like to see more of this intriguing building.

Hope you don't mind my honesty,

Pete

I can't believe this has managed to slip past without comment, it's a wonderful image. Fantasic colours, I guess by the blue tones it was at sunrise rather than sunset?

You may like to take a look at some of my sunset pics too.

Well done,

Pete

I guess we may never know, at least you got to meet them and have captured their likeness for all time.

I have finally gone digital Chris, I have invested in a D70 and am having great fun with it, but I am also finding difficulty in trying to upload my new images as they are bigger than the 360kb limit that UF allows, how do I get around that?

Stay lucky,

Pete

What a fantastic shot, I love it. Quite ingenious!

I have just bought a D70 but can't upload the pics onto UF as they are bigger than the 360kb limit, how do you get around that?

Keep up the great work,

Love your shot, it's very effective. I like shooting pics of my dog too. Maybe you can help me, I have just gone digital and have bought a D70 but can't figure out how to upload my new pics onto UF as the images are bigger than the 360kb limit, how do you get around that?

Lovely shot Paula, I know what you mean about the boat but I do think it adds a little more interest to the foreground. The wake that it is creating is certainly good for the overall effect.

Keep up the good work!

Nice shot with good light. I've just come back from Prague where I tried to take a few shots like this one and failed miserably so I envy you.

Thanks Den, now that I am a little more confident with my camera I realise that I should have swithed to manual focus so I could sharpened up on his eyes rather than around his shoulders where it seems to be; but I guess it all comes with experience and anyway it's a good excuse to head back to Mexico to have another go at it! ha ha

I really like this striking image that to me has real strength. It seems to burst out from the centre, would be even better maybe with more colour in the background but I know this is not always easy in the med. Good light on the inner branches though!

Thanx Tarek, next time I try something like this though I will try and focus on the eyes as Christian suggested and maybe it'll be even better.

Thanx for the crit,

Thanx for the tip Ramon, I'll try that next time as I do have a polarising filter in my bag. Would you perhaps suggest a warm up filter even maybe? Haven't tried one of those yet.

Thanx for the crit.
