It is my pleasure for me to share few little tricks I know. Regarding the eefect done in this picture is very simple. If you use PS CS,After opening your image, go to filter/Texturizer/ select canvas/abd play around with the values there.

I really like the colors in this image and the clarity. Normally, I would like a little more DOF to fuzz out the background. But, this texture you have added really makes it stand out and is great. First, transform to sephia.
Get some ramdom frame layer. and Screen.
Add another layer or individual scratch brushes.

Nice photo. I really like how the blue eye stands out. It is very striking. The colors are great. It would have been nice to see a bit more of the front legs to create a more complete composition. Nonetheless, this is a great photo.

Never have I seen a face upon which such beauty shone, there appears to be a touch of melancholia here perhaps a longing for her loved ones or worrying over what not's.

I got the default lens. 18-70mm 3.5 wich it is realy good.
I still have to learn so much about this camera i only wish to have eonough time to do so.
