I love the immediacy of this image: the moving limbs and waves in the foreground which gradually give way to the static position of the boat in the distance.
This is how children perceive life. And how we adults perceive children.

Not only do I like the way they're both looking in opposite directions I also like the way the man's head and shoulders rise above the horizon. He can see what's ahead, but the child can't.
But perhaps they should be a little closer to suggest that the child eventually grows up to become an adult.
