@ Stan Hill - thanks for your comment. i used a b&w 110 nd filter (10 stops) to get the 160 second exposure to get the effect.

thanks. this photo is a combination of 6 photos. 3 different exposures of the half left and 3 different exposures on the half right. i used photomatix to combined the different expousres and stitched in photoshop :) a lot of work for one photo..

This photo was taken with a Canon G3 digital camera with a Hoya +10 macro filter. I took over 50+ shots and only this one turned out to be focused. Hope this helps. If you have questions please don't hesitate to ask  Happy shooting..
