Mark,

Absolutely dizzying colours and pattern. Nice shot!

Since you are asking for critiques, a little over-saturated perhaps.

Thanks, Hugo. I always appreciate your perspective. I struggled composing this for many of the reasons you pointed out. In fact, I have an image just as you described with only the boat and buoy in the foreground.

Thanks again for the thoughts.

Hi Mark,

Awesome tones, and a rather spectacular skyscape. I think the trees and the patio in front are a bit redundant to this image, and kinda mess with the serene atmosphere, eventhough you captured them very well, showing the details and contrast and not rendering them into silhouettes. IMO, the boat, buoy and slip of land in the rear, together with those awesome evening colours would already have been enough...

Cheers,

Hugo

Sweet shot- I love lake Okoboji- we went up there last summer and did a scuba dive there! Very nice sunset photo. My husband's family is in NW Iowa, so we get up there often.

Seeing the roller coaster through the ferris wheel is really interesting. I must say that that an 'old wooden' rollercaoster doesn't sound too safe for me. Your 3 second exposure adds an neat view of the wheel. Great shot.

Nice catch Mark. He looks like he is resting calmly and not excited at all. Pretty hard to get this close in any event. Nicely done, Best regards.
