Oh okay, not quite the same thing in this case, I think it is more the fact they know we aren't a threat to them, but more a subject of curiosity.

All the best,
Ed

Hi Edward,
The Canada Geese in the Toronto area are a real problem in some places. They quite often decide not to migrate. Too many people feed them and they become used to people. Here's a shot from a couple of years ago.

Thank you for your comment Andre.

Can't say I have much experience with Canada Geese, at least not with them on the ground. Do they have a tendency to walk right up to you?

All the best,
Ed

Hi Edward,
It must have been a great experience to do all that shooting down there. I like the composition of this one. Funny though, from your description to Aylin, it sounds like the Penguins down there behave much like our Canada Geese up here. :)

Thank you for your comment Marcus.

Well for one thing, it wasn't nearly as cold as you might think, at least not if you are a Canadian used to real winters. But for the most part it was rather humbling and helped you realise that in terms of the world, we as individuals are really pretty insignificant.

All the best,
Ed

Thank you for your comment Arthur.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry that after all the time, effort and money I have put into DSLRs, what is probably the best picture from the more than nine thousand I took during the trip, was shot with a basic point and shoot.

All the best,
Ed

Thank you for your comment Tim.

Well not all my in-flight shots were clear, but for the most part they didn't turn out too bad. In terms of the tern shots here and some skua shots I'll post later, the birds were floating in my general vicinity, which certainly made it a lot easier.

All the best,
Ed

Wow these shots were hard to get...my D80 auto focus was sooo slow that i only got 1-2 out of 50 shots. Then I tried to shoot with a higher ISO and a better F stop but with the weather we had it was to dark still...anyway looks like you did a good job here..congrats!...well off to bed..nite.
