This is fun, I like that as you follow the road, it seems to turn into a river. To me the cropping is great. Alison

Hi Sidarta, Beautifully composed shot. The meandering road into the forrest is magical. Great shot. The crop is quite good, I think. Not too centered. Improving the crop is more difficult than improving the composition, I think. There are a few things that I notice. Above all the screamingly hard green tones. There seems to be a slight green film over the entire image. Secondly, I think the image becomes a bit blurry after the first bend in the path. Other than that, I do like this shot. Attached, a slightly tweaked version, with a hue, level and saturation change, and also a tighter crop. (I removed the unmowed weeds near the first bend in the path, not much of a difference, let alone an improvement)

Cheers,

Hugo

Thanks to Chuck and Jeff! That's exactly what I was toying with and wasn't sure which would look better. Each version (of crops) has its own "charm."
And, yes Chuck, I am still learning but wanted to do so on an older set of cameras (I have an older version Asahi Pentax from the '60s).
Thank you again.

Sid, I think it look fine the way it is. If you want, you could crop about 1/3 off the bottom for a slightly different look and perspective but I think what really make this image is the road covering the entire bottom of the frame and diminishing meanderingly into the distance. Excellent photo.

I think crop is okay. Looks like it was made with 120 camera. Thanks for using great little camera and real film.

Very well done and a great perspective. I like the red "glow" on the wall and the darkness on top. Really does look ominous.

Not much to improve. Good exposure, good crop and composition. The only thing that would have made this better and which you have NO control over is if there were some clouds in the photo to add some color and/or drama to the sky. Otherwise, an excellent job!

Always hard with something against the Sky, try upping the exposure compensation and then resaturating the sky to get the planes and sky balanced. Just experiment!

Yes, I believe it is. Although, I cannot say for certain.
Thanks for the comment.

Actually, I did recrop it and post it again after it was featured. Except I cropped it with the big tree more to the right and the little tree to the left. The space between the two trees made up the middle of the shot. Thus, the rule of thirds. I appreciate the suggestion, though. I hadn't even tried doing it the way you suggested. Looks good.
Cheers,
Sid
P.S. Thanks for your input.

I love the softness, the colors and the painted feeling of your picture. Since everybody is talking about recropping, I tried my shot at it.
