All is ok, but I wish I could see more action outside... there are people, but they don't add to the photo in the way they are here. Or the second choice is the same photo without people.

the natural light was insufficient. it was too dark so had no choise.I had a tripod but if I had used it this person going up would have to stand there for a long time.so I used flash.if I cropped the left side of photo this bright triangle in the corner would look strange.nevermind.maybe it looks unnatural but I like it anyway :-)

Treated by flash? Quite sick it is. I don't like the left part which is disturbing. Lighting could be natural, would be better (I understand you didn't have a tripod to keep it sharp:-) Or maybe natural lighting wasn't interssting?

It's cool, I like it a lot (it shows the atmosphere of this fine place) but if I were you I would crop it to ideal square to have a better balance - without 1,5 centimeter from left. But it's only a detail... Nice tone and composition. Quality sucks:-)

Hi ukasz. This is probably the best picture in your portfolio. That's because you took it just in a perfect moment in time. I can really see the passion on the boy's face. That's great!

On a technical side, I agree with Thilo (he made a point about the tonal range here and indeed it would be better with a little bit higher contrast and more greys. The composition is also something that could be improved, I mean that on the left and right there should be more space (his arm and the violin's bow are cropped and in my opinion it shouldn't be that way), there could be a bit more space at the top as well.

The quality could also be improved, but it's a matter of bad scanner I suppose

Best wishes, Igor

Ukasz, the image is great with the contrast between the real and drawn faces, and also the diagonal shadow creates a dynamic element. Whilst your friend has a street punk style she also portrays a certain classic beauty and elegance, quite lovely smiling eyes.
I see you use the Zenit, I learned with the Zenit E, no subsitute for it.
Jose commented about the jpg compression artefacts, if you can scan and work on the image in TIFF(a 'lossless' format) then only compress to JPG(which degrades the image every time you save) at the last minute for web this should not happen. Cheers, Ian

I can not understand it has only one comment... the people is blind!
Very nice work, I enjoy it too much. You've done a beautiful job with expresion (so beautiful and natural in fact), lighting and composition.
Is a pity the jpg quality is not the best, but I like so much the composition.

congratulations!
cheers from Argentina.
