Thanks Roby,
It's actually my computer screen... I have set it to match my printer's brightness.
This causes some of my photos to be bad on other monitors.
Thanks for the advice.. I like your changes

Another nice shot, The pose isn't as nice as the other but he stands out a lot better with this background.
Well done,

Wow very nice shot Tushit,
I love the pose and the color is outstanding. The chrispness of the bird and the DOF makes this a winner. IMHO,
Bill

Hi! Good point but the nuts is not really visibly because him in the shadow. Please look at my variant for your photo. I just added in Photoshop dublicate layer with "Screen" and in the mask add round gradient from black to white.

But you can do this without Photoshop! You must use a glass (mirror) for hightighting the shadows.

P.S. Sorry my English.

Great shot Tushit! I like it very much. You have a good dof and good color but I find the centralized subject renders this a tad bit static. Off-center, this would be much more dynamic. In addition, the line which runs top to bottom is a distraction. A nice crop here could remove the distracting line . . . pull the bird off center and (in my opinion) dramatically increase the impact of this picture. Anyway, the picture is good and I like it!

Hi Tushit,

I like how this photo is build around three strong points: the shallow DOF, the off centered placement of the oak nut in the lower right quadrant, which together with the shallow atmosphere creates the feel of a damp, grey and rainy day. The soft dewdrops on the cobweb in the distance is a clear give away. Very nice shot.

I think you might be able to get just a little bit more out of this photo by tweaking the contrast a tad more, adding a bit to the crispness of the photo. Other than that, I think it's a great shot!

Cheers,

Hugo

This is so very pretty. All the lovely summer colours and plants make a beautiful composition. I love the little bird on the sunflower and how his positioning emphasizes his so well. Super.

Un ottimo panorama montano, dove la vetta spicca sia per la centralitą nel fotogramma sia per l'incorniciatura particolare!
Complimenti!

It was getting a bit dark and crowded so choice of angles and exposure becomes a bit of a constraint.
Anyways... this photo was taken at Haridwar, at the banks of the river Ganga, in the foothills of the Himalayas. The river Ganga is also a godess in Hindu mythology. Every evening (and I think morning as well) there an Aarti (prayer with a lamp) at the banks of the river. It's crowded enough on ordinary days, and I'm sure festivals are maddening. Everyone floats a small lamp made out of leaves into the river.

I agree with the cropping idea. I think there's a strong image in the lower right of the frame.

Exposure and focus aren't that much of a problem. Try using the Shadow tool and some contrast boost to improve the lighting. And sharpening will help with the 'focus'.

I attached a quick and dirty version. I didn't have a lot of pixels with which to work. You should be able to do better working from the original.

Got a story behind this image? Is it a special celebration or an ordinary offering?

Gunjan,
I agree.. I really need to improve on this aspect. I have started playing with my photos in the digital world. Could you suggest specific changes to this photo that will improve it?
Thanks for your time going through my photos.

Hi Tushit,

You have very nice eye for photography but in my opinion you need to learn the post processing (Digital). In my opinoin you can improve your photographs a lot by just playing with the photoshop (for colors, levels, hue and saturation, and contrast etc).

Since you have mentioned in your profile for "to be cretical", I am suggesting this.

Please do not mind.

With best regards,
Gunjan

Tushit:
This is a great documentary image - very well captured and presented. I'm not bothered by the stairs at all and love the red splash of color.
