yes I used a ziplock with the lens poking out from the zip end. This leaves only the glass exposed to all the salt spray which i had to wipe off every shot

Hi Roger,
As you climb up about 130ft (40meters) you are only with hands and feet. But once you stop moving you clip a line from your harness to anything solid, just in case you make a mistake...heh...under the circumstances the mistake aspect is a little too prevalent in your mind to let it actually happen..lol

After my roommate was tossed out of his bunk for the third time one night i decided to lash myself to the bed. I was top bunk and couldn't really afford the landing half way to Europe on the trans Atlantic crossing....lol

Hi Tony!!
I didn't have anywhere enough time to explore this time but I have a return ticket in the winter. So this quickie trip was just a reconnaissance adventure. I did drive by your neck of the woods but the fellow passenger was not keen stopping at all... I need to come back your way next itme when i have more time. Thanks again for all your suggestions too!

I understand that the ice is miles deep so it is a privilege to actually have such a view without having to experience the cold weather and winds!

Hi Michael,
Well that wont be in this life time, the construction has been going for a hundred years and due for another 50 so they say. A little slower then popping out another walmart...lol....thankgod. I actually enjoyed seeing the contrast in contemporary steel and old world stone as a concept. But it is true it would be amazing to see finished.

hi Malules
I am very sleepy with jet lag now that I am home...It was so good to meet you and also to see your amazing paintings. You inspired me to post some abstract landscapes from the flight home. I was looking down at the Arctic landscape and saw all these wonderful patterns

REST!?! whos got time? I am painting for 2 art shows in the next few months to make enough $$$ to head to somewhere interesting as soon as possible. Just kidding about the rest really. I just got home last night after no sleep for the last 24 hrs. I was to busy shooting the land below. Yes it was a super opportunity that doesn't come to often. The folks near me must have thought i was a bit nuts shooting hundreds of images for so long. I have tons of amazing images from that flight. Hey, how about Cafe Con Leche e Jamone e Queso? in Spain next time?

Hola my friend! It was 3 weeks on this ship..a bit to long rocking and rolling, But a unique experience for sure. I loved climbing to the top and looking down as the sea rolled by and me swaying to and fro for miles in the wind from the yard arms.
