As per Chris Hunters comment - the photo looks a little washed out. The slight tilt is also a little distracting. Otherwise this is a beautifully composed photograph that captures the beauty of Kyoto and peace and serenity of the surroundings and tea ceremony. Quite perfect! Regards

Good perspective, but it looks a little light (on my screen at least). I like the contrast on hues from the interior to the exterior,

In central Australia I used to work in a National Park doing research into bird longevity and migration patterns. The area bordered the Great Australian Bight and along this coast line many plovers nested in the same way as your Siksak. We used to wait for the eggs to hatch before banding the chick, much to the chagrin of the parents I wish I had my photos today to illustrate my story.

Great nature and documentary photo

Thanks for the PS technique info.
These birds are of the type with the long legs and delicate beak. In other words, I don't know...

Beautiful! A truely classic landscape, but one you never tire of! What types of birds are these?

With respect to your question regarding the background of my flower shot - I took the shot in RAW mode and used a black jumper as the background. Then in PS I increased shadows to total darkness. A little cloning took out the outstanding highlights. Sound like a long process, but actually only took less than a minute.

Peter, You succeed to get great results from the stitching. Unfortunately, I do not do a lot of post processing. (Using IrfanView to adjust colours and neat image to take out some of the noise if necessary). It is about time for me to show more serious attitude for my hobbies

Excellent photograph - a shot that could never have been achieved without the panoramic stitching treatment. I've been doing a lot like this recently. The Canon stitching program can provide excellent results, although in can take a few days of patient post-stitch PS work to make them look truely seamless. Have you tried "Panoramic Tools"? - difficult to use without one of the many front ends like PTGui, but the results can be far superior. Looking forward to seeing more images from your part of the world, and some more experiments in panoramas

Amazing! Truely!

With respect to "Waterfall", the stitch came about more by accident than by design. But in the end I liked the wide angle effect that I could never have achieved in a single shot and the G5's widest angle.
