Yepp agree. It's an unusual abstractbandshot. Would remove te white something at the bottom. The colors, the angle, the blur is great!

Thanx for posting it. Powerful and certainly worth one billion words. I might not agree with the red filter, but I see the message you're trying to convey. In this case the bare bones should be enough.

Hi Ludmilla, first I remove colour then use brightness and contrast to adjust then colour in. It's taken practice and can be quite frustrating. I'm pretty happy with this one but you should see some of my others...ick!

Hi E.,

that's really the good stuff with the level of DOF, the order in the disorder, the composing moving from the lower right to the upper left, and the fresh green grass. hint of vignetting makes the frame very effectively.

all in all, a great picture. congrats!

best wishes,

thilo

Hi Erin,
As a colour fan I like this one very much, nice tones.
To answer your question about the sharpness, My Canon G3 has a very good lens, and you have to be aware about the limitations of the autofocus.
Sometimes it needs manual corrections.
Always watch my aperture, I like it clear and sharp.
Afterwards some small Photoshop adjustment, and that's it

Thanks James! Means a lot coming from you - your work is amazing. Could I ask how you do those amazing borders - I'm new to Photoshop. I love the way you present your work (interesting borders)and the way you title and sign it. Any advice you might offer would be appreciated!

hi erin...i see that gursky influence here. love the green tone here-makes me really look forward to spring.

to answer your question about PT Lens. don't feel ignorant, i didn't know about it til last week. it's a photoshop plug-in which corrects any barrel distortion problems that may exist within your lens. i use a coolpix which has a very small lens, and the distortion is terrible-so this plug-in is a godsend for me.

cheers!
