I like it very much! I like the colors and that it's not really symmetrical, i think that make the picture.

Ah, but alas Steve, I don't own the D100 - I just get to borrow it from my employer...

Thanks for the comments guys.

What up with you D100 owners shooting stairs? Wonder when Terry is gonna upload his.

Very nice Mike. Symmetry is the key.

This one really leapt off the Recent Photos page at me. The colors are stunning and I love the symmetry which clearly were careful about catching. Nicely done.

Beautiful simplicity and symmetry. There's just the slightest tilt to the right but doesn't dtract from the overall quality.

I think this is a unique composition. The lighting might be a little harsh to some, but I really like the way the photo came out. The guy looks a little drunk, but otherwise... :-)

Hey, good to meet you Mike. Nice looking guy. Even with the beard. Good lighting. Nice DoF too.

That's what the art directors (there are 3!) asked for Andrew, spontaneous, un-posed looking portraits. The hint of the back of the other person gives you an idea that he's interacting with someone instead of just looking off into space. My orders were not to have the subjects looking at the camera...

Can?t a guy show his face with a red beard without being labeled Chuck Norris? As you can see, I don?t wear my hair parted in the middle, so knock it off or I?ll have to kick your ass! ; )

Hey, are you related to Chuck Norris?

The lighting is pretty good and this seems like very nice spontaneous shot. Although I can see the value of keeping shoulder and head of the figure on the left in a picture for the Annual Report document, I think it might be better to crop it out as a free-standing portrait because its a bit distracting. Very nice work.

Merry Christmas to you too. We are neighbors it would seem. I live in Richmond and frequent Westerly often especially to enjoy the best pizza in all of South County at the Pizza Place. Cute dog by the way. Thanks for posting!

Amazingly refined looking for a candid street shot, mike. Does seem like it could use tighter or looser cropping to help it make more sense, but very impressive either way~

Bart- I've got more images after the moon is up over the buildings, but the color changed as it rose. Also have some with it lower between the lighthouse & building, but this is the image I preferred. BTW, this was taken just after a restoration of the lighthouse. The light to the right is a temporary beacon, lit while the restoration was conducted. The light seen from the lighthouse is the moonlight refracted through the fresnel lens.

A surprising abstract shot. To me, what really is the background comes forward and the foreground recedes. Visually very interesting.

Thought I was the only RIlander in the group. Looks like you were out somewhere along the breakwater for this one. I've been trying to get a moon over Pt. Judith for years, now I think I know how. Nicely done.
