this is such a beauitful, simple photograph. i really like is because it reminds me of my father's photographs, which really inspired me to get into photography. i love the blurry background and the soft lighting on the flower. that juxtaposed with the the rigid outline of the flower, make for a very pleasing and successful photograph!

Joshua, i am not sure what is that i like in this picture, but i like it. BUT, i see that you always put your subject in the center... why? do you think we won't notice it otherwise? what happans now is that you have the center of the image and that is it. there is nothing aroud it. i think you should try to shoot a couple of objects off-center and see the result.

No i just sat down on the ground about 2 foot or so from him and took the picture, the snake dosen't have any venom, so if he bites you it wouldn't hurt.

i really like this picture. it is very soft and relaxing, yet contains good tension. the coloring and exposure was done very well. i'm curious to what it would look like in BW though. good job!
