Nicely composed image with lovely light effects.
I'm not sure if your camera can be fitted with a polarising lens, but such a lens can often make a big difference when there is strong light coming into the lens. Its worth experimenting with as it will give more contrast, deeper blues etc.
Also I might have zoomed out a little more to bring in more of the very interesting foreground and also to make the figures a little smaller to emphasise the lansdcape, but that's my personal opinion.

Looks like a dark opening into the trees or is it. The shadows on the road are interesting. Beautiful gray/blue sky and the pink tree on the left is lovely.
