Joao, I think what matters in THIS shot is the subject of your title, which at first glance is hard to make out among the distractingly broad canvas of your image. The focus, we eventually learn, is the sword made from cut bushes - but the photo does NOT draw the eye into that at all; it lies almost hidden amongst the other busy and unnecessary stuff.

And I agree with Telmo about PS and saturation - often digital cams deliberately underexpose to give more latitude in post-processing. The (often somewhat self-righteous) idea that using PS is some sort of cardinal sin for the unwashed multitudes is wholly incorrect - RAW images straight off-cam on the Nikon D70, for example, are noticeably incorrect.

I hope this is helpful.

Anthony

Hi Joao,
Nice capture you have here, I like the composition and the angle,
my only recommendation would be to use a faster shutter speed, this will allow you to capture the body of the driver and the dust just in focus, without any shake in it,
Beside that, it is just nice,
Regards,

That's a great perspective. I mean to focus on the one behind. I think you made a good job. I really liked the idea.
Well done.

Fine composition .. the difficulty was here to put the focus correctly .. as the biggest flower left is not in focus, i would have cropped some off the left an bottom of the shot, so the attention of the viewer would go more towards the flower in focus ..
Regards, Peter

It is not a matter of approval... Of course I approve! That is a matter of option! If, when I take a shot, things don?t go so well as I wanted them to be, after, in PS, I try to do some corrections...
In the next trial, all I have to do is try a better shot, after a critical analisys of my first, second..., one...
This one, in special, doesn?t need many changes... The sky is too white but... Oh well...
The one I changed a little, Enduro I, is too dark and lacks a little color... Next time try to correct that when shooting!
That stuff of "no PS changes" is for guys that are (very) good photographers and know exactly what to do to achieve the photo they want, when they are shooting... That's not me!
heheheh
And this is my way...

É a que eu mais gosto. A abertura de diafragma permitiu-te uma focagem boa e a velocidade o arrastamento necessário para compor o ramalhete final... (twens a certeza que foi mesmo 1/125?)
Me gusta!
