Michael this is just great, the flowing liquid lines. The play of light on them - gorgeous. This is one of those that I soon as I see them I want to 'play' I don't know if you do much PS work, but when I saw this I thought of something similar to one I have just done Step Into my secret world. I have to admit to having had a little play just with it already. [Will attach for you to see] It just is so lovely and has so much potential.

Very creative, Michael. The image would make a nice introduction to the Optical Properties of Light. Thanks for the comment on Pirate's Alley. Regards, Mister Ken

Great photo Michael, personally I would crop the lower portion a little as it is too overpowering.

Matej, Thanks for commenting - no offense taken at all. In fact I had not noticed the antennae at all before you mentioned them. The portrait should have been titled "I'm Seventeen - Now Look Out World" or something along those lines. I like the photo mainly because if you had met her, you would immediately realize how much this captured her personality.

Interesting point of view with the model dominating from above. Unfortunately the two vertical creases in the background just above her head look almost like antennae (at least that was my very first thought when I noticed them) and this makes the portrait come off as a bit funny (no offense meant).

Unfortunately, if it's overexposed in digital photography, the detail is lost. That's why I try to UNDERexpose by about 1/2 to 1 stop, and then adjust my levels in Photoshop.

I love the perspective of this shot, the parallel lines of the bridge, the grassy path, and the trees are very appealing. I find myself wanting to walk that grassy path to see where it leads.

Thanks for the nice comments John & Hakan.
The bridge was originally constructed in 1916 and was restored in 1989.
It's .6 mile long and is the longest multiple span - overhead truss bridge in Texas.
