Hi Stephen, Amazing moody landscape. The tones are stunning. For me, it's the green tone in the sea that makes this image tick. But also the lighting, the softness due to the slow shutter, rendering the surf into a velvet veil and the tones in the sky are pretty awesome. Excellent job!
Cheers,
Hugo

Has a magic light to it, and especially by way of the fisherman on the distant point, very evocative of conditions close to home, Montara, CA.

Thanks for your comment Peter and yes it was a longish exposure and fired off a handheld flash a couple of times to lighten up the foreground, just something i tried for the 1st time and seems to be ok. Regards Steve.

Hi Shawn, thanks for your comment on my photo. In reply to your question on scanners, the one i use is an Epson Perfection 3200 flatbed but don't seem to be able to get perfection from it, scans come out soft and need sharpening using unsharp mask in photoshop and not always right then. Maybe its my fault too in that some of my shots seem a little soft before scanning. The Epson gets a good review but now has been replaced by the Epson 4870, maybe worth looking at a few and reading some reviews before buying. Sorry i can't be of more assistance. Regards Steve.
