There's a tremendous amount of history in this image, AJ. You don't often see that. I love seeing the Broadway/Fifth Ave cross over at the Flat Iron Building and the Brooklyn and Verrazano Bridges in the background, plus the New York Bay with the Liberty and Ellis Islands.

And you got the lighting just right at the perfect time of day.

Regards, Bill

I think I would lose the frame and make the image larger to give it a panoramic effect....awesome!

I like the subtlety of the lighting, Paul. It gives it a Yin Yang quality.....very cerebral.

Subliminal eroticism. Brilliant.

The O's have it.

Nice concept. A cross between John Thornton and Miles Aldrich.

I like the angelic quality, Maja, but I thought I'd try something in PS to soften the overall color cast ... a little "glow" which heightens the contrast and softens the image at the same time and some color adjustments with "selective color".

Hope you don't mind.

Excellent composition and concept. Nice choice with the 124G and the Hp-5 Plus. I can see the detail in the black.

This would make an excellent print on 16x20.

You can't get any better narrative than this. Definitely portfolio quality for story telling. This could be an ad for Abercrombie's or Benetton (reminicent of Toscani' work, when he first started shooting for them).

The piling on reminds me of "Fourth and Goal", quarter-back sneak (American football).

And those expressions on everybody's face with that tremendous mass of energy is so perfect. "Just do it", Nike.

Regards, Bill

PS I would seriously consider putting this in the fashion and street categories, and I think it would make a great BW poster, too.

I was going through some of my favorites and realized I hadn't commented on this, Paul.

Love the over all image with the "crown of hearts" emphasis. Reminds me of a BVLGARI ad.

Amazing image. Perspective is wonderful. This could be an ad for Fuji.

Great detail, considering you are shooting strong backlight.

Hi, Kenneth. I love the recurrence of reflections in your work. I was fascinated by the thumbnail on this award winning work. Congratulations! It is exceptional.

However, I was curious to see more of the reflection and I hope you do not mind my interpolation of the scene. If I were to play with it any more, I would try to better hold the color in the light itself.

Best regards, Leora

Awesome piece of artwork, Gustavo. You really created a 3-dimensional effect here. The directional lighting emphasizes the intense textures and color hues and I just love the emphasis on the diagonals.

Great life style image, Jacques.

This could be one of those double page ads you see in Travel and Leisure. You can just sense the mood.

However, I think in post, I would have opened it up a bit and enhanced the colors to bring out more of a Caribbean feel.

Judging by the lighting this looks like midday sun which can be problematic, but it works well here for her reclining position. It adds a nice bit of modeling to her well-toned figure.

Regards, Bill

I like this, jacques. The sum of the parts ...

I've always liked the deconstructive approach to fashion. Says a lot about the feminine mystique ...
