At first i thought the skintone was too dark, but then i realized this created the contrast needed. The dark tones, no smile, closed eyes all help to give the image impact.

What a beautiful place. I like the fresh colors, the sky and the reflections. I would be nice if there was more of the reflections and the mountains in view. May be using a 'portrait'format would have been better.
An alternative would be to crop the image on the right so that the clouds cover abount 2/3rds of the frame. I think the weight of the blue sky is now too much compared to the clouds.

Very nice scene, well executed. I like the contrast and the details. The only thing i would have liked if there had been more room around the two fishermen, showing more of the wet floor.

Mooie kleuren, scherp waar het scherp moet zijn. Het zou helemaal perfect geweest zijn als je de camera iets naar rechts had gekanted, waardoor de vleugel meer diagonaal in het beeld zou komen. De mooie gele punt (overigens fantastisch contrast met de achtergrond) zou dan heel mooi in de rechterbovenhoek uitkomen.

Het vierkante formaat is een goede keuze. Ik zie veel mooie dierenfoto's in je portfolio. Zijn die allemaal in de dierentuin genomen?

I agree with Geoff about the angle. Apart from that, i like it because the single dominant color emphasises the rythm and the strong lines.

I like the way the roe is positioned in front of the yellow flowers. This way it stands out in a way that it never would have done in front of the green trees. I know how shy these animals are, so i can only say: well done!

Interesting...
If i wasn't puzzled enough by the image, it even gets worse by the discussion. The fame of emperor Orzack has not reached the European continent yet, so i quickly did some investigation and googled on Orzack. And look what i found as the first result.
