Youre right its to photoshopped. It seems pretty unsharp as well. I think you had a good idea but taking pictures in dark places is hard and you need expensive equiptment to succsseed.

I have a suggestion you may want to try, to get rid of the wrinkiles in the backdrop, use the magnetic laso and draw around the girls, then invert your selection and apply a len blur to the backdrop, keep playing around with the lens blur settings unitill you find something you like

You may also want to duplicate the layer before you start, incase you get some blur on the models, then you can erase the parts you have to on the top layer.

Just a trick I thought you may want to know.

Its a good pose on all three girls I love the fun this photo projects, but you may need to use a reflector to feel in the girl face layer face down to the floor.

Good nightime shot, the sky looks great. This has a nice open feeling and the sharpness of the distant buildings and lights is good.

What beautiful expressions of concentration and involvement they have on their faces! It's just a personal thing but I'd rather have a larger image than the framing. More detail would show.

Very good. I don't know about the possibilities on your camera, but I assume 1600 wouldn't be a real option. The DOF is good and hey! that was all you could do, to nitpick around, you might could move the DOF more to the back having the two heads in focus, but her instrument out of focus. Another option is to move the DOF more to the front to guaranty she is sharp but he is out of focus; see his arm? I think a total blur is all right but slightly out of focus can bother the human brain:-)
The background with the keyboard is a strong element and I'm struggling with the question if I like that or not.
Don't know if you're just digital, but if you still have an analog body, use a 3200 film and pull it if you need that. This opens a door for nonflash photography. I have an analog and digital system, but when it comes to low light concert shots, the digi stays home.
In a nutshell: Great expression, good composition, nice shadowplay, good comp and presentation. BRAVO!!!

Wow, what a beautiful shot. Even with the wind you did manage to get a decent shot.

I have had the same idea, to photograph the and landscape type shot with clouds on a windy day using a slow shutter, but the opportunity just hasn't arose.

Thanks so much for sharing this one!

Black and white is the perfect choice here. Amazing contrast and clarity. I love your work Paul, it is rich with emotion and love of family. Your ability to communicate that speaks well of your artistry. Congrats on a fine talent.
Kind Regards,
Melissa

Wow! I can't believe no one has taken the time to comment on this. It is amazing. When I view it, I see the happiness and innocence of youth celebrated in her eyes and her beautiful smile. A perfect lifestyle image. Childhood personified. How wonderful that she will always have "this moment". Congrats. Well seen, and well captured.
Kind Regards,
Melissa
