I agree with Gary Paul. This is a great image and very well done. I like the bold crop too. Anyway, better late than never, huh?

I can't understand people's attitude to portraiture. This is better than many, yet gets no comments for a year! He must have been happy about posing, you must have gotten in pretty close with a 50mm lens. Well done. Regards, Gary

very well done, well, the iblique lines are very strong in this composition, but you have very strong horizon and vertical lines too which make the composition well balanced, the woman is in exact Golden point (both vertically and horizontally) and the horizon line is well choosed so that it's in great vertical golden chioce. as a landscape rectangle view, the horizontal lines (such as waves, horizon and lines in the clouds) make it even an wider one, but, as you now, wide means cool and static. very good composition indeed, Good luck, Mohammadd

Great tones and an intresting artistic view of a simple scene. Good lead-in formed by the converging walls, only to be conradicted by the incoming water. Very nice! Best regards, Niclas

Scott, I think you're probably one of those photographers who love giving "advise" because you're so technically acute but lack creativity, flare and a natural eye for composition. Are you German? Paul, I love your work. This one especially captured my attention. Keep it up! However, you were right about the child on a penny farthing... See you in Del Mar : )

I read the 1st comment on this picture, but I?m not so sure that Paul?s intention was to be focused, on the contrary.. maybe he wants a blurry and distorted-framed picture... as if a patient?s dizzy view walking on the corridors! That?s my interpretation.. ~:-)

Paul, I take alot of interior shots as well so I know it can be a pain to carry a tripod around inside with you, but it's the only way you will get clear, focused shots inside darkened buildings (without using a flash anyway). A tripod can help level the shots as well.
