Great details and love the DOF you used. the composition really shows me what the bow looks like and what you see through your eyes. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the comment...in this picture I am using a circular polarized lens filter. It helps to brint out color. The sky was very blue with white clouds that day and the lense enhances the blue sky. Good shooting. Fred

Texas always is pretty in the Spring. Blue Bonnets and lots of fields of yellow flowers. Dont know their names. After a long brown winter, always a welcome site to see. The image is composed very nice with great perspective and saturation. Nice to See Regards

Hi Fred - nice picture thanks for commenting and I owe a reply! I'm just playing around and experimenting with movements - kind of slow shutter speed - no flashes so better colours - so the background stays still (tripod) & whatever moves, moves... does that help? I don't have a great camera (soon though)! I use very little PS but this could change The original photo looks almost the same but cropped in PS - only to enhance slightly at the end - contrast, sharpness to improve quality - and frame of course - a natural blur, only weeny bits on my neck/jumper I enhanced slightly. Natural colours/lighting - Fred, to be quite honest - I don't know what I'm doing that's why I'm here! Wish I could be more constructive in my tips! Just having fun taking lots and lots of snaps and chosing my fav at the end. Best regards and C U soon, Cherie

Actually I was drawn to how perfect the focus and detail are, I guess Chris has a point about the backlight to remove the shadow though? another thing I noticed is I can see the photographer/tripod and light in the top of the watch. But other than that I think it pro quality, defiantly good enough for product picture in a catalog.

Fred,
Nice macro shot with good lighting. What does detract is the shadow falling behind the watch. You need a small light source falling behind the watch to remove the shadow.
Overall well done.
