Pat I missed this one yesterday, as Dina says I see you! Lovely image and I do like the high contrast on his cheeks, nose and chin. Nice crop, as the focus is his eyes. Well done, Kind Regards, Cindi

Zeca very interesting street photography and of "biblical proportions"! Let the reader interpret! Nice clarity and tones. I also like the triple "layer" of sky, to water to sand....definitely intriguing. Well done. Kind Regards, Cindi

Adam very creative here and while I'm not a particular fan of framing images from the "outside" - this graphic adds drama and depth to your shot. Excuse my pun, way to break out of the "box"... Well done. Kind Regards, Cindi

Paul your perspective here with this lense is quite nice. Nice to take the ordinary and make it more. Going into my favorites - continue to do what you do - I like your vision and your willingness to get it "out there". Kind Regards, Cindi

Paul, well glad you liked it enough to put up. I like this quite a bit. As well you've tagged it with one of my favorite songs - at first I thought I was in the village as in NYC...but I must say the rose tones - give that Moulon Rouge, Parisian flavor - forgive my spelling. At 1/90th 3.5 you got a fair amount of movement - I'm assuming you were walking as well creating additional movement. Like the mood here and very creative. Well done. Kind Regards, Cindi

I looked at your two shots in series and kept coming back to this one. Graphically it is very powerful. Contrast strong, simple lines. Find myself staring right into child's eye...It would almost appear as if there was a cars rear view mirror there and I'd also say I see slight reflection of you - the eye is so wide here and there is a lot to observe. Well done -- Kind Regards, Cindi

Oh for Gods sake it gets even better! Congrats on your SC. Very powerful shot here. The stillness and the simplicity, deep blue and shining light. Gosh you are living in a special place, I'd want to protect it too from "outsiders" - Where you on shore, in boat? Hand held or tripod?

Well John this is certainly impressive shot with the D70 - if I may ask exactly what was your focal length - I've got this lense myself. Amazing rich tones here with that subtle light in "cloud play". F11 perfect here, you want to see as much detail as possible. Very well done landscape. Kind Regards, Cindi

What I like most about this picture is her expression. If I may ask, did you at all sharpen in PS? I do like the grain, but for some reason I'm feeling it may show more w/sharpening a bit too much....curious did you do any post production sharpening? Tones very rich and appealing here. Kind Regards, Cindi

Hi Howie from your two most recent uploads I like this one best. First from the angle position, it captures so much more of her personality within those eyes. Nice lense choice too with the available light. And the "black and white" in post production looks very good here, nice contrast and middle tones. A very powerful portrait. Well done. Going into my favs. Kind Regards, Cindi

Pat well this definitely has a storyline to it - The lense used would also appear to be a faster one with the DOF I see...creates a more moodier shot with available light. I like your composition, makes her very strong as title suggests. A move to a more journalistic approach here, nice feel. Kind Regards, Cindi

Walt I love the play in angles here along with your subjects. The wall, the slope to the street, stairs, the dog at "attention", but the man being slumped - that's interesting in itself the play btwn dog and man's body position. Contrast very punchy and crisp in tones. Well done. Kind Regards, Cindi

What works here the most is the lighting and simplicity of composition. Less is more. You have some detail in her face, chair - so lense is not completely wide open. As well you can see her personality as her hand stretches her face a bit...not "completely" wanting to be "doing this"! Kind Regards, Cindi
