CC image. I don't really see the reason for the left half of the photo. But even so, it's a fairly uninteresting foreground. And, it's not in focus.

I would imagine you are trying to give a sense of scale. In that sense, the full photo as you have it, works. But otherwise is just seem unnecessary.

If you have the detail, I might suggest simply cropping to the people on the horizon and not allowing more than the bottom third of the photo to show the desert. Just my opinion, of course.

This is a great one, could have used a bit more dof but still a wonderful portrait to be proud of. but I agree that you need to reduce the glare on the glasses as it detracts attention from the mans face. maybe you can burn them in. great work, mark:)
