I like this photo a lot. Your composition is lovely, and although you have placed the legs/feet overtop a busy background, it's desaturated so it doesn't distract from the subject. I think it adds interest to the photo. Keep up the good work.

I like the textures and patterns in this photo, and even the lighting, but I think the dog's face should have been lighter, his face is too dark and the details are lost... but this is still a good composition. I like the textures of the rocks (?) at the bottom.

This is a phenomenal photo. You captured the perfect moment with the surfer in the air, the bird in flight, and the splash on the right hand side. Good job!

Hey Doyle,
I like your DOF in this photo. I just wish the seagull was sharper and not slightly overexposed. Just my 2 cents.

Hi there. =) I feel like you're going through exactly what I went through. I got quite contemplative when I turned 19 (which was back in may), realizing that my childhood years were pretty much over. When I was 18 I got my licence and also had two jobs. I started college last month too. All these changes can be somewhat daunting, but honestly, go with it, and enjoy the freedom. We're still very young comparatively speaking.

Nope, it's not the same one... different city and different park. Though I did think of the trail back home when I took this. =)

I'm liking the sepia tones here Doyle. Very fitting.

Ok good, I was thinking it was a bit premature for all those colours.

I have a similar camera except mine is a fuji. It's between a point and shoot and a DSLR. There is a term for it I read in a book but I forget.

My dad is driving me back to Ottawa when I go home for thanksgiving and I am going to convince him to drive me up to Gatineau Park. I hear the colours there are amazing.

This one is nice, perhaps a little too bright/harsh light but sometimes you gotta take what you can get. Not everybody has time to sit around and wait for the perfect light. hehe

This is a fantastic panorama. Personally I haven't viewed many yet in my life (just a few on UF). I like the dusk feeling and the reflection off the water. Keep up the good work.

haha I've done that before! Falling out is easy, it's getting back in that's the tricky part. Anyway, I like your panorama. I think you could do some slight adjustments in PS. The clouds are a little bright and adding some more contrast in the rest would do the trick. Keep up the good work.

How sad. I respect your decision not to post the family's pictures (I wouldn't either) but I think this is a nice documentary image to recognize their loss.

Oh good, I was hoping maybe I'd miss the fall colours over Thanksgiving. I like the mix of colours though. It's like a hint of what's to come. The reflection you captured is nice too. Keep up the good work.
