i actually prefer this one to the solitary tree. the colours are much improved here than in the other shot. tuscany seems to be a very photogenic place, unfortunately i never spent much time in italy, only a couple of weeks.

keep up the good work. james

i do miss the "mysticism" that surrounds these houses, at least thats the way i look at it. always wondered what they were for but after a year in thailand i never bothered to ask anyone. nice collection you have here. keep up the good work len. james

nice shot. acutally looks somewhat similar to one of the desktop backgrounds provided by microsoft for windows.

only thing i dont like aobut it is the sky seems a bit too pale for me, a bit of a deeper blue would be nice, but its still a nice shot.

well done ~ james

yes, those are the scorpions. easy to pick out klaus meine.... i saw this band in winnipeg in 1979, as backup to ted nugent. they are indeed one of the best heavy rock bands of all time. not a bad shot either.

well its a good attempt, its sharp, but might do with a little colour saturation. i've never shot any birds with my camera, in fact rarely do i even see a bird where i am but this one looks good. would be better if the background were a different shade or colour but you take these photos when and where you can.

good work. james

very nice glamour style shot. this is something i would like to get into at some point, however, i'm stuck at taking candid portraits of people at this point in time.

nice work here and best wishes. james

first of all, i hope your health improves. you know that by stopping smoking the chances of reversing a lot of the damage to lungs is quite possible. keep up some exercise too and i think in the not too distant future you'll feel much better. i suffer from my own problems where i am but manage to get thru every day.... so far.

nice image.... great silhouette. you keep producing great work. best wishes ~ james

nice to see this type of shot. just rotating the image one way or the other can make a huge difference. i'm beginning to think all my images are looking the same as one another and i need to try something different. thanks for a bit of inspiration.

best wishes ~ james

i agree with another poster, this is a great shot but the surfer is just a little too close to the edge.... actually if i couldnt redo the shot, i think i would have just cut the surfer out and pasted him somewhere else in the frame. cheating but who is the wiser?

good work anyway and best wishes ~ james

i used to live in this area when i was very young. not often you see a winnipeg shot anywhere.... but this one is nicely done, despite the city not having much for a skyline. good work and best wishes ~ james

hahaha, nice play on a sign. actually i've never seen a volcano evacuation sign (i thought it was a bad caricature of a swimmer) so now i can recognize one when i do see them. good to see a bit of fun put into an image here. well done and best wishes. james

you've got a lot of great bird images, thats for sure. in fact, its hard to choose one to comment on. no criticism from me, as i'm no expert, but it is nice to see these creatures in their natural habitat.

that is a very nice shot, and epitomizes the concept of being alone. only thing i would like to see more would be a little bit of fog, to add some mystery to the shot.

well, its a different view of the opera house. nicely done and the starburst effect is not out of place here. very good work. hope to make it to australia someday soon. best wishes ~ james

nice view of a tehran street with a beautiful background. the sky is very clear as well, something i miss being in china, where blue skies are quite rare.

a good shot. the only thing i dont like about it is the glare on the greener melons. not sure how to get rid of that tho, unless you can reflect the light onto them as opposed to direct light.

almost thought this was shot in china as i see truckloads of melons for sale everyday, each vendor cutting open one melon for display purposes.

best wishes. james

its a lovely beach shot. i'd like to see it with a small sailboat as well, which i think would give more substance to the subject itself.

nicely done i would say. it reminds me of one of the walkways at detroit airport, where you can find all kinds of glowng lights on the walls as you move by.

its a really nice soft portrait. the hair blends in nicely with the dark background. i do like it. i've been taking lots of portrait type photos myself but find i'm in a bit of a rut these days, so something like this is giving me new ideas. good work.
