Interesting, but the reflection not matching the shot is throwing me off. Did you mean to leave the structure and skyline in the reflection? The ground under the trees in the "reflection" is a little too brown. Nice colors though.

I hear ya but I bet you have been playing guitar for a lot of years.

I like this. I get the feeling that the guitar has been bad and sent to the corner as punishment. I think it is the dark b/w, somewhat out of focus effect that makes me feel this way.

The only part that bothers me is the distraction in the bottom right corner.

Very nice shot the colors are so vivid. Great shot. And to think this http://www.usefilm.com/image/320411.html (not to plug my pic but show the difference in clouds) was about 5 miles away up on Sorrento Mesa. Lori, did you get some shots of those Awsome redish/pink clouds this evening?

This is very cool, somewhat Escherish. I like the near illusion effect. I would like to have seen a little more light on the stairs on the right, the near total darkness I seem to lose track that they are stairs.

Good job.

Well done. I too love the lines of this shot. The colors are the icing on the cake.

I like the colors. Seems to be a little bit blurry in the center which keeps drawing me to the tree on the left.

Thanks guys...

It's actually an American made (before they moved overseas) J. B. Player Strat copy I got in '82. Tremolo has been replaced that is why that white piece looks odd on an otherwise (Red with Black parts) dark guitar. This Guitar is heavier than an old ('67) Fender Strat that I had. The sound is Fat. That reminds me of another photo op, I have an Original Crate 1 amp that was truly built into a crate. I will have to work that in somewhere. I probably should of had my foot up on it in this one.

I love the dark feel to this picture. The layers of fog and lighting through the lamps pulls this all together. Beautiful!

Excellent shot...the shadows appeal to me in this one. The poster behind the subject has a 3D feel. Good job.

Lovely Model, nice expression and Nice colors. To me the pose with the elbow jutting out toward the camera seems to throw the model's porportions off a bit.

Awesome Clarity...excellent shot. You asked me early if I liked my S50, I absolutely love the thing, it is so easy to use. You are taken some wonderfully clear shots with yours.

Have you tried any of the add on lens yet? I'm looking at the ckc adapter so I can throw some 37mm lens on there.

Very cool. The top looking down gives this different kind of feel. The border adds quite a bit. Did you use a fisheye effect or is it the frame that makes it appear that way.

I'd guess inside a piano. Very nice, I like the panorama (wide) feel of it. Good work.

Thanks Todd. How does one deal with the thousands of people milling around at these events? A short depth of field and blur the people as much as possible?

Kevin,
I love the s50. I am a noob to digital photography, and always was spaz with my SLR. I wanted something easy that the wife could shot in automatic mode but also be able to control shutter, aperture, lighting and focus settings myself. I went through about three weeks of do I really need 5G pixels, this one has a hot shoe that one has a better opti zoom, finally Sears dropped the price on the s50 to $440 and I got the thing. It is awesome for a rookie that likes to take good quality pictures. I bring the pics into Digital Image Pro and find that I do not need to do any touch ups, only when I goof up the lighting. Still learning but look for some experimental stuff in the future.
