Excellent shot Andy the choice of mixing color and B&W was a terrific idea. His lens is almost longer then the canon barrel.

I am not a big fan either, but you are right, selective desaturation is meaningful here and it works! Good one and good title.

all in this photo is simple and harmonious.
white, blue and green in the background make a great frame for the subjects.
bird and flower are really sharp and clear.
this is a wonderful composition, a very delicate work.
