Hi Jon, Excellent scene, summer in the purest form. Love the line, leading down from the lifeguard to thye yacht. Although all objects are primarily focussed on the left, it balances the compsoition, as it forms a perfect triangle. Great shot!

I know the place your talking about, its just outside Edgewood, I have some shots there myself, the b&w shot of the swans was taken there.
You must come to Harford county alot.
They are rebuilding the boardwalk in Havre de Grace, hope to have if finished for the 1 year anniversary of Isabel.

sounds like an excellent idea to me jim! count me in.... its not right in Bel-Air but several miles from Bel-Air on old Route 40.... didnt know the name of the town or even if there was one! the swans are always there every time I go by...

Jon, nice perspective on this shot, the rocks in the foreground help make the shot.
I'm off on August 7th, think we can hook up for that trip to Longwood?

Hi Jon, Nice scene, and well composed. The tree on the right redues the static composition a bit, whilst the recession in the tree line leads the eye nicely towards the horizon. Very nice tones too. I do feel something's missing in this shot, and although it is a beautiful landscape, there's no real eyecatcher. Looks like you are enjoying your D70 more and more!
