One shot from an amazing portfolio. An undiscovered gem on UF. Despite the predominantly dark tones, this is a great shot. Good composition, excellent detail.

Maybe there is too much contrast, wich can be also for the monitor, anyway I like the strange composition without a single subject.

Actualy I agree with you, 'best in project' award not only in usefilm but also other sites is similar I believe it's run by automatic engine site, but I don't worry about that cos I never pursue one of awards but all of my published images is 'best in my project'

I love how the bricks surrounding the fern are in the same lighttones as the fern. Where the surrounding bricks are more in the dark. Great composition.

I have to leave another comment about this... sometimes I think the 'Best in project' awards handed out on Usefilm are so predictable (particularly those given for landscape photographs)... why this hasn't been granted an award simply astonishes me. It's brilliant.

actualy, the whole leaf was medium green, I used orange filter to emphasize contrast & darkened green area, exposure based on average area zone III - VI, filter effect has made lower zone III to II and so, N+50% was given to developed time to increase the highlight, the print was toned in selenium.
