Good capture, caught the action.
When I shoot surfers on a cloudy day, I'm sure to shoot at iso400 & 1/500 - 1/750 shutter, and it gives you a little better color & light. Just a tip.

I can very easily take the palm trees out of the shot, I just thought it helped show it was a the beach.

Its not a built in feature, it just does it, and its an 18 year old minolta. But its still a great camera.

That star effect isn't from a filter, its just what my camera creates, with my Minolta lenses and with my Quantaray lens.

I was on the pier in Huntington Beach, about 30' above the water & the surfer was about 50' west of the pier.

I love the atitude.
