Chad,

Wonderful capture indeed my friend,

Martin

PS. You might want to change your lens entry from: Canon 28-80 mm f/3.5-5.6 IV USM, To: Canon 28-80 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, USM? IS stands for “Image Stabilization”... hehehe ... I don't know what the IV stands for? ROTHFLMAO!

Perfect DOF on this shot. I love that "infinate" feel that shots like this have. You nailed this shot.

I really like your work, for this reason. Seems like you see a lot of the same unusual things that I would / do. I love the colors & detail in this. Well seen!

Hi, Eb. Thanks for your comments. I just make a regular positive print of the digital photo on the paper I normally use (but no larger than the 11x17 sheet of blueprint paper), then place the print face-down on the unexposed blueprint paper, with a pane of glass on top. I place this in the sun for around 3 minutes (I'm still working out the optimum exposure time). After that, I place the blueprint in an old cooler with a bowl of warm ammonia, then close it up. The print takes 15 minutes or so to develop.

This is interesting architectural abstract, well composed and works well in the blueprint.

I can not visuallize how you are making contact prints, given that you are shooting digital. Are you making negative transparencies from your digital. The blueprint works well with repeating patterns such as this!

You have begun you "blue period." It has the appearance of infrared colour, but blue instead of green. Interesting experiment!

Very cute and touching, Chad. Lovely composition that could also benefit from a little light reflected into the baby's face.

That's the kind of thinking that can get you hooked on panoramas! (It did me, but I LIKE being hooked.) If you still have those photos, try downloading PTgui (free for a trial period and a steal if you decide to buy) and see if it can stitch them for you into a single image. You might be surprised! (I only mention PTgui because it's what I use... there's plenty of other software to do the same job.)

Thanks for your critique. I agree with your comment about the photo needing more "randomness." It wasn't until I got home that I realized this one was so linear. It is better that the first couple of photos, but I think the randomness would get it closer to "perfect." I'll try, again, next time I get a chance. Thanks, again.

Cool shot, Chad - and a bit pf photographic pun. The sharp stop is labelled "scharf" or sharp! The effect would have been enhanced if the one foreground stop was blurred a bit.
