Nice portrait..sometimes hard to do self portraits but this came out good.. the lighting on the shoulder would have been used better to highlight the face... Also, I think a little bit of contrast would make the image a bit more dramatic... but having said all that, I think it is quality work

Angelika,
Self-portraits are fun to shoot and fun to see what you've done when going back and looking. I will give you a few tips to make this one better. First let me say I like the bare shoulders and the pearls. Both go well with B&W pictures.
The crop could be a bit higher on the bottom of the picture removing the dark part of the armpit. Your chin could have been lowered and turned a couple inches towards the camera. This would have given you a more natural pose and made your right eye look better. Last, move away from your back drop to get it out of focus, say 5 feet away. This would help blur the back ground, hiding it and giving more focus on you the model.
