Perhaps you could crop them off a bit on top yes. But not too much either, I think otherwise you might see that the few pink leafs that are still left (and hard to get rid of), will become more disturbing then the whole flower is now.

Thank you for the comments. Does anyone think it would help if I crop out the top flowers maybe?

Very nice picture indeed. The flowers do take away some of the attention, but the smile of the Mantis is strong enough to get it back. Plus, I guess you didn't really have a choice of back and foreground, this is a take it or lose it forever kind of picture.

I agree, the lighting is excellent as well as the clarity. I like the shot as is, but it may help to crop it closer as suggested by Gil.

This is a very good black and white photo. Detail held in the white petals. However the composition doesn't give me a main object to rest on. Sometimes you can make one or two flowers more important than the others by darkening the others or brightening the main flowers. Good attempt at a difficult subject.

love everything about this photo except it doesn't seem sharp at any point, which considering the subject one is expecting. otherwise it works wonderfully, gives of the feeling of a lazy summer day somehow

This is a very nice shot. I like to take pictures when it's raining as it gives nice neon reflections on the ground and here you got some into the shot as well. Colors are nice, sharpness is there and the sky looks very nice. None of the neon lights are blown out (which is tricky to do), so overall good work. The only comment would be to level the shot a bit as it seems to have a slight tilt. Well done!
