Beautiful shot Roberta, colours are vibrant and the sense of spring is strong however I do agree with Clay, the image could be improved with greater separation of the flowers.

Technically the focal point is good. The poppy and the unopened poppy are so sharp even the little hairs came out nice. The only problem I have is that the poppy and the unopened poppy behind it take away from it's beauty. Don't know if you shot it at a different angle you could have gotten it with a more suitable background. In other words I would have tried to isolate just those two poppies and the unopened poppy. Hope that helps.

Love all the beautiful colors and pretty blue sky. Also like how if you start from the lower right corner of the picture, the colors naturally get lighter as you move towards the upper left hand corner of the picture. Great job.

I'd like to see the center of the photo in focus. What was the aperture? Also, the upper left is distracting. If white on white is what you wanted, I'd like to see more definition between all the different whites.

I will try next time, when I can control the light and background.
I took this picture at Philadelphia Flower Show with their showroom lights and the background was a pool with something yellow in it .

Try diffused light. Cropping a spray of Phalaenopsis can be challenging. Focusing on the front flower is good, but the background is a bit busy.
