I've never seen a flame in B&W before. Makes for an interesting picture. This would be a neat picture to color a bit in PS. Good composition and layout.

Nice composition and light (maybe a bit of fillflash would bring out more details in the cat's fur).
Your DOF is a bit too shallow,leaving the leaves in the foreground (which otherwise enhance the image) and the far part of the cat blurry. Closing down just a bit more would have prevented that.
