Good composition. The different directions in which the human eye and canine eye are looking makes this picture rather difficult to look at. Makes it more interesting perhaps?

This has almost an "Alien" movie feel to it, but the detail is nicely done and there is originality in the treatment. I hope you weren't too close to the swan - they can be very unfriendly creatures!

I think you're probably right about that KataTjuta sunset shot - we were actually in a patch of sunlight and the surroundings were almost certainly less bright. Take a look at the 3 vertical shot pano (attached) which was almost as things looked. From our shadows you can tell the sun was only just above the horizon.

One of those occasions where an 18mm lens on a 35mm film SLR would have been ideal, however that heavy combination doesn't fit on my belt and the little Canon s400 got its chance. Just a little exposure compensation to capture the evening light.

Wonderful! I like the composition displayed here. Although the image would be graphically stronger with the lights of the lower floor cropped out, the architecture needs that extra impression of height.

An excellent street photograph! The bird must have been really into eating that corn to let you get so close.

Exquisite macro. Is this the kind of detail a Bee would see...

Nice idea. It might work even better if you turned it into one of those "minimal" imaged by cropping out the distracting paving at the top to make it more of a high-key image

A beautifully composed macro with a wonderful set of colours.

A lovely macro which handles the subtle colour tones so well. Too, the curves of the petals and the cone of the central element complement each other most artisticly.

Excellent! I wonder... can you go back and shoot a series of frames and then stitch them to take in the full circular dome?

A very good photograph. Whilst it is nice to have the leading line running up from the bottom right corner long the wall, and over the bridge, I think the picture could have been stronger with the wall cropped out and the castle as an island.

Will you ever get a nicer photo of swans and their little ones? Congratulations!

An excellent monochrome. The seabirds in the air enhance the roughness of the surf on the rocks.

Very nicely done! I wonder if it might be even better if you make the dark petals just a little lighter with the background masked to stay as it is?

Very good! I think it could be even better if something could be done about the dark object above the bud. We either need to see it more clearly or less clearly if our attention is not to be taken from the bud.

A good Macro. The presentatation would have been even better if the red plant structure the insect is on could have met the diagonal bottom right. Yes, I know this is not so easy to do with macros of living creatures.

Beautiful lighting and a wonderful silky appearance to the river water give this picture full marks for emotional appeal.

An excellent image, and more marks from me because there is not so much Photoshop manipulation.
You may appreciate this overexposed digital shot of mine (Digital works like slides in that you must expose correctly for the highlights) which was "resuced" and recyled for a different feel by various manipulations. See the D7iI Gallery (P2) at

All of nature's elements in motion together: light, water, air, and I can imagine the soundscape too. Very nice photo.
I took this shot below at a time when a the walls of water were simply collapsing. Not such good quality as your photo (on a 2mp Canon Ixus) but I think you may enjoy: "Breaker" In the Ixus gallery at

Maybe it will display here
